If it is, I bought the book and tried it a couple of times. Never felt tired after, and was never sore the next day....

I think everyone has this friend. I don't think anyone though has the opposite of that friend: someone who eats clean and responsibly but is still fat.

weight loss, however difficult, is attainable by every single person.

That's not really the point though. Some people have an uphill battle due to their genetics. They have to put forth more time and effort than someone with a great metabolism.

While I'm not justifying someone being 300+, I think a lot of people tend to naturally gravitate towards being 20-30 pounds over their "ideal" weight if they aren't super anal about diet and exercise.

I don't hate them, I pity them. Especially the ones who have convinced themselves that theres nothing wrong with being overweight and everyone should just accept them.

I don't pity fat people or anyone that's born in a first world country where there is the social climate and opportunity for there to be "fat activists"

Of course I would just rather everyone stay the frick out of everyone else's business so long as it doesn't endanger them or anyone else other than the person making the personal choices.

Just to throw a curveball into this thread, I have a problem NOT gaining weight and have to make a conscious effort to gain even a couple pounds.

Champagne problems compared to being fat and needing to lose it, I suppose.

You didn't mean to put that NOT in there right?

I wouldn't say that. It's really fricking difficult to put on muscle and weight for some people. I would say that its much harder for people like you to add weight than it is for most fat people to lose any kind of weight.

Is it okay to hate them if they act like those in the OP? Because I do hate those.

I don't care how much your weigh or if you are healthy or unhealthy. It's your life. Live it like you want to. If my tax money is paying for your healthcare, we enter a whole new ballgame.

This.

Like 1% of fatties have actual pre-fatness thyroid issues that just makes them fatties, so they're excused as well in my mind.

It is an epidemic and the epicenter is America. Its disgusting. People at my office take the elevator to the 2nd floor because they're fat. People get handicap tags because they're fat. People have extreme and/or constant health issues because they are fat. Large percentage of fatties are in a lower-economic portion of American society. Those people do not pay all their own medical bills, the rest of us do.

There should be a fat tax on fatties if they seek state paid for medical attention for any and all fat related ailments. They sure AS shite shouldn't get handicap tags because they are lazy.

Then work harder. Suck it up.

Also, I don't think you know what 20-30 lbs overweight is to actual physicians. Ideal healthy weight is considered "skinny" in our society and that is a fricking shame.

I agree if you aren't harming others do what you want, but the second my tax dollars pay for you or you bring fat children into this world and let them get fat, you are harming others and you're a piece of shite.

If I were fat my excuse would be that I'm sacrificing my body and life so that the human race can evolve...if all of us are fat, we will adapt so that our spine, heart, etc...can handle the weight...we're pushing the species as a group forward

everyone will be 7 ft tall to accommodate the 300+ lbs of weight.

I’ll use myself as an example. I have been thin my whole life until I started filling out at the end of college. After college, and more recently, I noticed that when I ate garbage and didn’t exercise, my clothes get tight and I feel worse in general. I gained 20 lbs this past year mainly due to having money from my first real career job and a fiance and eating at restaurants regularly instead of cooking.

I saw this happening and saw how fast it was happening so I stopped it. I eat healthier and I exercise much, much more. Then a miracle happened…

I lost the weight and got back in shape.

Do I like exercising? frick no. Do I like eating salads instead of a double bacon cheeseburger? frick no. I do it because I’m not a lazy piece of shite and I don’t want to be fat.

This

Here is a link for an interview on Dr. Phil of a 756 lb 23 year old. The video is 2 minutes and 52 seconds long.

He weighed 400 lbs by the time that he was a teenager. I have a hard time believing his parents are not responsible for that fact.

On the bright side, Dr. Phil paid for him to go to a facility that helps overweight people. The next time he appeared on the show he had lost 250 lbs.
