I think Obama will pardon him. Seriously.

If that is in fact what happened. And I will let the Army court martial and make that decision on their assessment of the facts.
They will claim Bush's war made him unstable and he was hero for leaving a cause that was against his moral fiber or declare he was mentally unfit.

They'll tell the guy to play 'sick'; temporary mental illness due to the atrocities of war on the Afghan children.
Then they'll sit on their hands for a year, and wait for the inevitable s&*%^storm when those 5 sociopaths get back to bloodletting.
Obama will be a moot issue by then anyway. Poor baby...he tried. Us redneck racists blocked him all the way.

Hell, who knows?
I'm almost ready to say this is the most perplexing thing I've seen a President do in the light of day.
It's surreal.

Maybe Obama will offer to share his peace prize with him.

As Jay Carney likes to always say, the investigation is ongoing. Cannot release details. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see this admin somehow push this off until the next fool takes office. Something along the lines of Reagan/Carter/hostages thing.

Think back just 6 days to the cold reaction Obama got at West Point.
Now imagine that speech being given this Wednesday, instead of last Wednesday.
Obama goes to the American cemetery near Omaha (Normandy) Beach on Friday.
I hope he chooses his words carefully.

He enlisted while Bush was President. Therefore it is Bush's fault.

Hey let's all speculate like grandmas because ooo my dick gets so hard if I think Obama fricked up.

I think he ties him to a drone, Slim Pickins style, and sends him after you.

Statement by Secretary of the Army John McHugh on Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl
Secretary of the Army John McHugh released the following statement:
"As an Army, we are grateful that an American soldier is back in American hands. The warrior ethos is more than words, and we should never leave a comrade behind.
"Our first priority is ensuring Sgt. Bergdahl's health and beginning his reintegration process. There is no timeline for this, and we will take as long as medically necessary to aid his recovery.
"As Chairman Dempsey indicated, the Army will then review this in a comprehensive, coordinated effort that will include speaking with Sgt. Bergdahl to better learn from him the circumstances of his disappearance and captivity. All other decisions will be made thereafter, and in accordance with appropriate regulations, policies and practices."
This should be the last word on the matter for now, but don't let me interrupt. You guys have been left with Obama Blue Balls for far too long.
