No one that keeps Soledad O'brian, Candy Crowley, or Piers Morgan for as long as they did can claim to be anything remotely neutral.
CNN has lost a lot of brand equity and credibility over the years, and people seem to be rejecting their entire format. I remember a time when their domestic coverage was really solid, but that was a long time ago.

I didn't realize they ever had any brand equity and credibility.

It's hit and miss. About 6 months ago there was a badass car chase in Denver. HLN had it live while Fox News was still yelling about Benghazi (probably). Car chases are Shep Smith's bread and butter but the network totally missed that one - it wasn't during his hour, but my point stands
Yea a car chase is much more important than 4 Americans being killed and no one being held accountable....There are so many coverups going on IRS, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, etc., etc. yet no one but Fox is trying to get to the bottom of any of these!

CNN hasn't been real news for a while now.

Stamp man, you sound really intelligent. Do you have any good book recommendations on the political climate of the mass media, or just Hannity links?
Nah, I can't watch Hannity any longer...he was better when Colmes was with him which made for a much better show. If you don't think the "mass media" is left leaning,...don't know what to tell you!

Books? I want moar books.

Hannity has been moved back to 10pm, outside of Fox's prime time.
I don't care for him. Was he producing weak ratings?

Don't get me wrong, I prefer news biased my direction, but the fake outrage about stuff like the Marine story is just tiresome.
THIS
coming from a conservative who patronizes both sites Fox is on another level... CNN is actually far more unbiased these days. JMHO of course.

UCLA did a study that showed some interesting findings.
UCLA Media Bias Study
They essentially tied the media bias to the source of their news, and tied the sources to the politicians that used those same sources. Politicians are scored by the ADA on how liberal/conservative they are, so it stands to reason that a liberal news outlet will use the same sources as someone like Nancy Pelosi, and a right-wing news outlet will use the same sources as someone like Ted Cruz.
For example, if Nancy Pelosi frequently uses Moveon.org as a source of her information, then Moveon.org will have a more liberal rating, since Pelosi has a liberal ADA rating. If Ted Cruz uses Moveon.org as a source of information in his writings, then their rating will move to the right.
If MSNBC uses Moveon.org information in 90% of their newscasts, but uses, say, the Heritiage Foundation as a source in 0% of their newscasts, then MSNBC will be be scored as a more liberal news outlet, based on the fact that they use the same news sources as the most liberal congressmen.

LOL at the OP trying to act like FNC is any better. The fact that people think FNC, CNN, and MSNBC is actually news scares the shite out of me.
At least in the screenshots shown, Fox is selectively posting actual news stories with a slant while CNN is posting anti-news.

I think fox is the best at news, but once all the talking head shows come on all bets are off. Shep Smith and Brett Baeir (sp?) do a good job.
I also think for as crazy as he is Glenn Beck sheds more light on a lot of polictical actions than most.

Our "the game is on/cold beer in the fridge/$0.99 Big Macs/kardashian news" society dosen't like real news.
They hate science too.
