Hey look you Foxbots, there are multiple committees, no way anything nefarious could have been overlooked! There is also a bunch of infighting going on amongst the Repuplicans and their various committees.

Or Issa and Gowdy could be coordinating their campaign to raise public awareness and sway public perception to favor the notion that the administration has something to hide. Thus they seize the initiative and get the Democrats playing defense instead of offense with respect to the need for the investigation.

Your attempt to ignore the obvious is not funny. It is sad that you refuse to hold Democrats accountable for obvious policy failures and poor management.

But you're wrong. We hold Obama accountable just as you held Bush accountable when his administration lied about Pat Tillman's death for political reasons and covered it up. IOW you didn't.

If he's gets a subpoena, he will be testifying at both.

He'll appear as he needs to.

Kerry has relevance in only three areas with regard to Benghazi.

1.) The release of documents to Congress.

2.) Failure to discipline those identified by the ARB for "leadership and management deficiencies". (Clinton put them on paid leave before leaving her post, Kerry let them off the hook later.)

3.) A progress report on the recommendations of the ARB.

It's likely that #3 will continue to be monitored by the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which has jurisdictional oversight responsibilities for the State Dept. Kerry may try to focus on this in his responses to non-records-related questions. It's a "safe" area for him to discuss.

#2 will be addressed at some point by the Select Committee, not so much for those who WERE singled out, but for those State Dept. personnel who were NOT singled out for deficiencies. There is not much Kerry can add to that now.

#1 is the reason he was subpoenaed at this time. They are looking for a public clarification as to the State Dept's cooperation in releasing documents prior to the Select Committee starting its work. There has been a lot of correspondence between this committee and State regarding these documents and it has gone on for a very long time. Kerry will be put on the record in terms of his degree of cooperation with past requests and his intent on responding fully to future requests by Gowdy's committee.

And yes, if Gowdy's committee wants him to appear in the future on the document release issue, they will do what they have to do.

Gowdy is on the Oversight Committee though. Can't he just ask his questions then? Seems unduly burdensome to require Kerry to appear twice to answer the same questions.

Here's an interesting wrinkle. From the resolution authorizing the Select Committee:

quote:

Sec. 5.Records; Staff; Funding
(a)Any committee of the House of Representatives having custody of records in any form relating to the matters described in section 3 shall transfer such records to the Select Committee within 14 days of the adoption of this resolution. Such records shall become the records of the Select Committee.

That date should be passed by now. Is Issa holding on to the Oversight Committee records?

Twice?!? That's nothing!

The Accountability and Review Board, the Senate Armed Services Comm, the House Oversiight Comm, the House Armed Services Comm, the House Select Comm,, amongst others, all ask the same questions and get the same answers. Kerry needs to put on his comfortable shoes because in 2014' Republicans don't get two bites at the apple.... 9.... Count them.... 9!

And if you believe asking the same questions and getting the same answers 9 times is wrong, then you don't care about 4 Americans dying blah blah blah (did I say that right pubbies?)

They can ask and answer a thousand questions, VB; but dodge the 3 or 4 that we really want answered. Same with the documents/emails. You know em'. They do too. Gowdy too; he'll nail em'!

Go eat some bbq and take a nap.

Miss Harf can suck a dick. Kerry will appear as many times as he's subpoenaed to do so.
