I've done them. They work out great for us. We're not major snobs. Heading here on the 1st of June for 6 nights: Iberostar Grand Playa Paraiso

For laid back, good diving n snorkeling, cozumel.
I can second this. I still wouldn't do all inclusive, though.

Did one in Playa del Carmen last December. It was a nice trip. I wouldn't want to always do an AI though.
But for the occasional tropical trip...why not?

Dreams Resort in Cancun and Oxidental (sp?) in Costa Rica. Awesome time at both places. Get the upgraded packages that offer better booze. Food was great at both places and will do all inclusize anytime in Mexico or Carribean.

We did Excellence Punta Cana. Top notch.

Just got back from Cabo. I loved Cabo. Only downside was once out of the Marina, the waves could kill you!

I agree with this. shite, I actually went on a spur of the moment cruise last week (nb4trashy), definitely wasn't my cup of tea, but it was an experience and quick and easy to plan.

But would avoid jamaica.
I don't know. The client I'm at has been to Jamaica over 30 times, and she says that 7 mile beach is the absolute best beach she's ever been to.

The airfare is the killer, IMO. I'd probably do them more often if the plane ticket prices weren't so damn high. It's so much cheaper doing a cruise out of New Orleans. Went on the Carnival Dream (their new ship) to the Bahamas, Belize, and Cozumel. Went to Atlantis in the Bahamas, and Nachi Cocum in Cozumel, and it was amazing.

I think Hedonism includes just about everything.

If you don't do all inclusive you'll be paying too much

I went to the Iberostar in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in January. It was awesome.

We went to the Hard Rock Resort in Punta Cana, DR last year & had a blast. I'd definitely go back.

This was our first all inclusive. I had always heard all inclusives had crappy food & watered down the drinks, but that was not our experience. They even had Johnny Walker Black label in dispensers in the room.
