Statues to honor LSU greats-Agree or Disagree?

Found this article today (didn't see it posted) about LSU's lack of statues honoring it's coaches/athletes. Seems the media believes LSU is lacking in this dept which got me thinking about that; does LSU need more statues or not? Personally, if Shaq gets a statue then Maravich deserves one too. Not to mention Gunter (she has one but it should be moved outside of the building-should also note that she did not graduate from LSU). Bertman should have one as well as Dietzel-possibly Miles & Saban (down the line after retirement).
After reading this article, I realized that the only way to get a statue is to earn your degree from LSU(among other things). In today's "leave college after 3 years" mindset, doesn't seem like there will be any statues being built any time soon.
What say the rant? More statues? If so, who? Change the criteria?
Ps: if you read the article it talks about an apartment complex having statues of Cannon & Rabb & another of Dietzel, what complex is this?

there needs to be one of Ronnie Lewis displaying an uncomplimentary hand gesture to the student section after missing a fg in the Miami-Ohio loss in 1986.

I always thought it would look nice to see them incorporate statues of our great players/coaches in the arches on the north side of the stadium.
Sort of like they did in the Roman Colosseum:

I think statues of sports heroes are creepy.

Shaw is not only a great player, but a great donor of money.

We are not Alabama. We do not need to do Alabama things.

Disagree. No statues needed. LSU isn't about the individual, it's about the institution. The all Americans being on the plaques on the west side is plenty.
The idea is that we have too many great players to have statues.

I would wish for something more original.
The reliefs someone suggested as a example.

No statues. We can recognize Tiger greats in other ways, we dont need to copy other schools.

Disagree!!! We got a Tiger and a tail on saban's bronze look-a-like, that's enough for me...I don't think LSU is about statues, it is about the tradition of the Fighting Tigers, having a live mascot, and a beautiful campus...and don't forget the gorgeous coeds that walk around said campus...

I agree that we do a poor job pimping our history. Does that mean we need more statues? I'm not sure.
I wish we would have built a true HOF museum where old Alex Box stood

Disagree.
Too many, someone will get left off that shouldn't and somebody will be added that shouldn't.
They have plaques on north side of TS.
Plenty.

I am not big on the whole statue thing but I am not totally against it. If it is done I think Bertman, Brown and Miles deserve one.
