For rye, alot of folks swear by Whistlepig. For bourbon, Eagle Rare.

I've heard it's good but have not tried it. I may need to change that.

I always enjoy Blanton's although technically it's a bourbon but who cares? Tomatin is also pretty good if you like earthy flavors.

never for bourbon, but a splash of water is perfectly acceptable for single malt tasting. Separates the flavors.
Ice, however, means you're an idiot.

I'm mixing it with Sprite

I'm gonna use one of your watches as a cock ring, and slap you across the face with my turgid member.

For mixing, I prefer Johnnie Walker Red. It was good enough for FDR and Churchill to drink over battle plans so it's damn sure good enough for me.

You mean I'm not supposed to put ice in my scotch?

Broke, I think I'm more in line of what you're looking for.
Woodford and Makers 46 will be more than adequate to have with a touch of Sprite.
Schwartz is right, though, you don't want to cut those better bourbons with water or Sprite. I don't drink them like that, so I usually don't buy his suggestions.

I'd go 1792 Ridgemont Reserve over Woodford reserve. Not as many places carry it but its in the same price range.

are you admitting you put ice in single malt scotch?

If you're going to mix, I'd strongly suggest Bulleit. I'm a big fan. It's what I keep in my gigantic decanter.

If you are mixing with sprite then don't get four roses, eagle rare, or the double oaked woodford. Those are not whiskeys you mix. Get makers mark or regular woodford.
I put Forty Creek on the same level as those and it is about $15 cheaper.
Is it for this weekend?
EDIT: Bulleit is good too

I have never heard of that before. We should probably hang out and slow burn some hickory while we read leatherbound historic manifests about discoveries of science and diction next to a crackling fire while our majestic dogs rest on the rich mahogany floors and ladies dance.
