Expired inspection sticker question

1.5 yr old inspection sticker. Would it be better to just remove the sticker or to leave it on. Is the fine more expensive if you don't have an inspection sticker?
This is a hypothetical question. Mine is up to date

No an expired sticker that is old would cost the same to replace as no sticker.

Peel the bottom corner back so the year can't be read unless you are close to it. Is that a 2? 4? Nobody knows.

Leave it on but change date with a marker

In Baton Rouge, they charge $18 regardless of expiration status. So it shouldn't matter.

Ok thanks. That's what I figured

Perhaps you should get your car fixed so it will pass

Yeah I know. I was just curious if the fine was more if you didn't even have a sticker on your windshield

What fine?
I got a congratulations when I bought a jeep in one time that was 4 years behind. The inspection dude was like, "Impressive...".

I've never seen them cost less or more than $18. It's different in Jefferson and Orleans parishes though.

Glad Georgia doesn't force inspection stickers down our throats.

In Shreveport it's $10 for 1 year or $20 for 2 years. There has never been a fine associated with expired stickers. I think the the inspection sticker place has been making extra cash on the side charging "fines" to people who don't know there is no such thing.

No I'm talking about the fine/ticket. I know how much the actual sticker is

What I'm asking is the ticket the cop will give you
