I wouldnt use it. Louisiana is different and I would use one of the local lawyers familiar with our unique system.

What exactly makes ours different? I have no idea.

I think if we lived in any state except Florida and Louisiana this would be valid.
I am most definitely not a lawyer though.

I thought trusts were hard to get into? why would I do this instead of applying for my own personal stamp?

With the stamp, you are the only person that can have the NFA items. Other family members can not and when you die whoever was willed the items would have to go through the process again, if it still exist. With a trust the name(s) can change and can be willed...

Also wait times are cut in half and they don't require you to get fingerprinted if I'm not mistaken
Can't fingerprint a corporation

After seeing this posted I called the guy, he is out of Houston a says he is very familiar with the LA laws & wording. I personally am still a little skeptical of doing this process over the web given the fact that if a T is not crossed or an I is not dotted it can result in major repercussins.

Aren't they closing this trust avenue soon anyway? Did I read that correctly somewhere?

there was talk of it but i couldn't find a decent source on it. all the articles i saw on that were posted by online trust makers, seemed to me like they were trying to scare people into buying from them.
i could be wrong though

I thought about taking an upcoming CLE on gun trusts but it was $200+ for an hour and a half CLE and I am too cheap for that.

They weren't going to make it where you couldn't use a trust.
When you get a trust you don't have to get LEO (Local Law Enforcement) to sign off. It was being discussed to require LEO signature on trust paperwork too. last I heard it sounded like they backed off of requiring this. Some people have sheriffs that won't sign off on a Class III weapon so a trust was their only option. Most sheriffs around here sign off no problem, but it adds a month or so to the process because you have to wait for the LEO signature before you can send paperwork to Feds.
