I know nothing about the place but I'll be eating lunch there on Thursday. Tell me what to expect, what to eat, what not to eat, etc.
Thanks.
Thanks.

BBQ shrimp
Gumbo
Scallop appetizer if they have it
I could honestly just eat the bread and butter
It's a great date place.

Always good if not fantastic. Usually very solid. I believe it was the frontrunner of Pasta Jambalaya. The BBQ Shrimp as mentioned is always good. It's a nice bistro. I've enjoyed all my meals Enjoy.

I make their BBQ shrimp recipe as often as I can.

That's definitely on the list.
And a milk punch sounds intriguing.

It's okay...service is my problem with the place...borderline rude on three separate occasions I have eaten there.

Another vote for the BBQ shrimp.
I've eaten at Mr. B's only 3-4 times. Wanna say I had a great pork chop one time in there. I recall a decent cup of gumbo too. But you know, things can be a blur at times.
You'll be good no matter what.

There's one waiter there who is quite snobbish.

Did they not let you in wearing your camouflage crocs?

If this is a business lunch i wouldn't get BBQ shrimp. If you are wearing a dress shirt I wouldn't get the BBQ shrimp. Maybe some people are less messy than me but I always make a mess when I eat those bad boys.

Everyone in this thread will say BBQ shrimp but it's a pretty good restaurant.

Tom Fitzmorris, the food show guy, said that would be the 1st place to eat dinner for a first time visitor in New Orleans

Great place.
Get whatever looks good to you. They do seafood very well. Friend had the roast chicken last time and loved it. Had a taste. Delicious.
I'm a fan of the pecan pie.
