For me it's Mark Strong. No clue he was British until I started seeing the Miller Fortune commercials. Didn't realize he was Sinestro either. Maybe I just don't pay attention.

Not British but Christian Bale.

First time I saw Idris Elba was on the office, and I had no clue he was a Brit.

I had no idea that Hugh Laurie was until I saw him in Blackadder the Third

I didn't remember Hugh Lawrie in Stuart Little so when I found out after season 2 of House, I was shocked

I didn't either until about 6 seasons into House. I thought he was just faking the British accent in Flight of the Pheonix.

Idris is a good one. Being black and British is like double camouflage.

For Real. Mindblown. I remember the first time I saw him was in some movie about the Texas killing fields.

Uh, he's Welsh, which is in Great Britain. Therefore, he's British.

As a reverse I was surprised to find out Gwenyth Paltrow was not British when she first started. I didn't know her Hollywood lineage then.

it's funny because we can't recognize it, but if we would go to GB and tried talking with an accent, we'd get laughed out of hte country
