Neil properties, they have the ones in downtown that you'll want to have when you go chuggin' on Cate St.

Long time Hammond resident here -- have heard nothing but nightmares about Smith Properties from previous tenants, people who provide utilities, etc.

Like others said AVOID SMITH PROPERTIES at all costs!!
Find a rent house, I know in my neighborhood which is less than a mile north of SLU there are a few. It is mostly older people tho which keeps it quiet.

What are you looking for in an apartment? I ask this for a reason.
My grandparents built an apartment complex down Whitmar dr. It's one of the cheaper ones, 1 or 2 bedrooms. However they don't allow for big parties, loud music, etc.
They also have several mentioned as well that is more aim at college students. Also, if you are going to Selu, you could also look a little outside the city too.

Website may be old, but really nice people, nice quiet area, great 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. The owners are always around and available if there is a problem.
