Isn't that why he left Liverpool last year on loan not to be one. Dude just wants to be along for the ride to pick up some hardware.

They need a real keeper for when they officially make Neuer sweeper.

ETA: Isla on loan to QPR.

I guess... I'd be interested to see what wages he's on at Bayern. I'm sure Pep being there, somehow makes the tie more logical..

He was on ~ 100k/wk at LFC and we needed to get him off the books. I know he and Napoli wanted a return, but either they couldn't agree on fee or wages, not sure... We didn't want to loan him again..

I saw a blurb on it at the bottom of another article, but so far no traction from the LFC twitter ITKs.

Spanish newspaper AS are reporting that Atletico Madrid are keen to sign Chelsea's Germany international winger Andre Schurrle, with a fee of around 25million euros suggested. The 23-year-old has only been with the Blues for one season following his switch from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.

AS was pushing the Santi to Atletico story until very recently. they clearly don't have good Atletico contacts

so Rummenigge came out in Bild and said Reus' release clause next season is 25m euros. every top club will be falling over themselves to lure him next summer unless he re-ups with BvB.

I would have mixed feelings about it. We do need a defensive-minded midfielder in his mold. And he's played in LvG's system so he would know the expectations. But he's also a former City man who broke our beloved Stu Bear's leg.

I think that might have just a little something to do with it.
