How many of you actually change ceiling fan direction with change in season?

I've been wondering why our house has been unseasonably warm lately. Then I noticed the fans were spinning clockwise, so I switched the direction and I can see a noticeable difference. That got me wondering if everyone else changes fan direction with the change in season/temps? My wife didn't even know you could switch it for the longest time

mine just stay counterclockwise

i use them in the same direction summer and winter. summer on high to circulate air. in winter on low to bring down warm air from the ceiling.

I normally have the butler do it, so yes we do change the ceiling fan direction with the seasons.

I do it every season. I find it makes a very noticeable difference, particularly when it starts to warm up and you forget to switch it back.

I did for a couple of years, but couldn't really feel a difference in the winter with the blades reversed...
dirt started collecting on the ceiling during the winter, so I stopped....

Of course heat rises so it collects in high parts of the ceiling. Not surprising that you trailer dwellers don't get this concept.

In South Louisiana, not worth it for the 2 weeks of cold weather (frick this winter).
Down all the time.
Down all the time.

I knew you could switch the direction but never gave it a second thought as to why you would. Interesting.
I'm interested now because my wife always complained that it got extra cold in our bedroom in the winter. I thought it was all the windows, but now I'm thinking it is the high ceilings and fan direction.

I don't have ceiling fan I have attic fan. Think it runs on 3 phase. Or maybe diesel.

Well this thread is probably too late, as I'm guessing they are going the proper direction for summer. I'll have to try and remember this.
