It actually has. They have some cool events, and they've started to try and bring a national talent every year. Is it trash free? No, every event like that is going to have trash, but it's not as bad as it used to be.

I have been to sugarcane in new iberia that was horrible
And plenty of scum at festival internationalle or whatever they calling it this weekend

Not a festival, but 4th of July at Holly Beach is the trashiest event in the history of humanity.

Just to add. Although I think the Strawberry Festival is the trashiest of all festivals. The parties we throw in Ponchatoula that weekend are great. Noone on my road actually ventured into the madness, but we had some great food and music the entire weekend.
