While Highland Park has great schools....there's ton of great public schools around the greater Houston/Dallas area because we don't bus kids all over. If Baton Rouge actually had neighborhood schools I think they'd see improvement in some areas as time went on.

You really can't compare those schools to HP, it's basically a private school

I think the "better together" group has a bill trying to pass the "neighborhood schools"?? I haven't been keeping up with this stuff, but my god it would be so much practical to take this route.
