Papa Loston had sick ball skills and loved the contact. Don't care what people say about him not wrapping up and lack of coverage skills, dude was a playmaker though and made some incredible highlight hits over his career.

I hope he's healthy, you could tell at the end of the season he was playing injured.

Agree with all of that except the sick ball skills. Decent ball skills at best.
That said, IMO Loston has a shot to be a better pro player than a college guy. And I dont think he underachieved at LSU. He was just always hurt early on and it stunted his development. But he has great size and can run and hit with the best of them. If used the right way, he could be a really solid NFL player. He can wreck havoc. At worst, hes a great special teamer.
Big fan of Loston
Man, dude is a viscous hitter

One of the best punishers/eliminators we've had. His tackles reminded me of mathieu sometimes when he's just blow up peoples ankles.

he'll have more concussions than INTS in the NFL with the way he tackles with his head

Papa Loston might not have been the best open field tackler but he could sure run the alley in run support.
Wish they would've have the block on the Miss St. kid and 2010 when he flipped the Bama WR #4

Not valid without the KO Block with PP7 following behind him.

He was a good player, teammate, and volunteer in the community. And...he stayed out of trouble. Something to be said for that as well

This thread makes me miss football. Loston came to LSU at the same time I did and it's weird to think that the team is going to be 100% different next year than it was my freshman year.

He is gonna have some nice highlights blowing up RB in those little swing patterns that are popular in the NFL

A beastly safety prospect #DBU

The play at 2:18
That's easily my favorite Papa Loston play.

Yeah I see that. Probably what I meant to say was that he seemed to be in the right place at the right time on a lot of tipped passes.

LOVE Loston and how he would just lurk down the field ready to take someones's head off
