Covers were put on baseballs to get blasted off.

Gorilla ball was terrible and what we have currently is terrible.

The old bats where good pitchers would shut down any offense and offenses could make pitchers pay.

Gorilla, from a fans perspective. We are going to raise generations of kids that will value bunting, the way this is going....Heck, our next All American freshman might get there by a "hit by pitch" stat...Jeez....

2008-2009 was a happy medium

the fact that coaches don't teach kids how to bunt is the fricking problem dumbass

The 1999-2010 bats were pretty perfect

Personally, I love gorilla ball. However, it does leave room for the bats going cold every now and then. Since moving to Mississippi last year, my cockiness has gotten worse with every time Nola goes to the mound. I've loved telling both the Moo St and OM fans to talk to me on Saturday, because Friday is already in the books...

What year did they start using -3 instead of -5? That must have been 1999.
