You're kind of an angry guy when it comes to this stuff. In fact I'd say there's a lack of "reason". Perhaps I can lend a hand. But yes, I think the conservatives on this board grossly overstate the bias of the so called "mainstream media". Not saying it doesn't exist to some degree, but it's not all encompassing and certainly doesn't control our political outcomes as some people suggest.

would want him to get some experience first.
Carson isn't seriously interested in Running for public office at nearly 65 years old. He is interested in a career as an analyst/speaker & for Black Republicans there is huge money to be made.
Any hints at being a Conservative & minorities (Blacks especially) are moved to the head of the Conservative line to put a darker face on their politics(Not attract minority voters)
They love someone other than White Males to spout off their backward social positions/ fiscal austerity(especially concerning social safety net programs).
Seems to be a good man ,but is a bit wishy washy on Affirmative Action since it did get him into Yale & open doors otherwise would have probably never opened :
"I believe that I benefited from Affirmative Action ........Only after I got to Yale did I realize admissions had taken a considerable risk on me & that I had been extended special consideration'"- Dr. Ben Carson
Carson goes on to admit he nearly flunked out of Yale as a Freshman because he was ill prepared, due to his background , to compete early on.
Unfortunately Carson doesn't believe the opportunity should be extended to other minorities . Unfortunately most of those against Affirmative Action don't realize how it works & how hard Carson had to work to capitalize on AA.
Don't worry about Carson as a serious politician. He is just cashing in on the Right Wing love to push forth minority Conservatives.

First, it's literally impossible for any "schtick" to be more stale than the constant whining about the media being "in the tank" for liberal candidates, in general. It's grossly overstated.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
You deserve scorn.

Hmmmmmm . . . it seems you and some others may deserve scorn because of your apparent lack of faith in America and its people.

I like the man because he's not a damn lawyer. He's a smart man who has many great ideas on how to clean up much of the bullshite coming out of D.C.
I'm tired of these politicians passing laws that ONLY apply to the American people, not themselves....call me racist...but I'd vote for this man in a heartbeat.
Would the black population vote for this man b/c he's black? I doubt it.....

He should be...after all, it's a bullshite system to begin with. He just happen to make it work for himself.
Giving someone an advantage b/c of their race is crap...a business, college, or whatever should give the job/scholarship to the best candidate....period.
BUT....and I do stress BUT...if it's a business...they reserve the right to hire who ever the hell they want b/c it's their business...if you disagree...then don't use that business. Period....

IMO...this goes right along with the whole, "Everybody gets a trophy" mentality. It's sad. The reality is, we weren't all created equally...sorry but it's the truth.
The world needs ditch diggers....
That would be like white guys screaming....hey, we need more white dudes on the football/basketball team...it's affirmative action.....
Yup....bullshite.

If he were to run he would gain some momentum in the republican primaries because it sounds like there's not an issue where he isn't right wing enough to make it though that process. The problem for him is going to be some of the rhetoric on social issues if he's going to win enough independents to win a presidential election.
His stated (absence of) belief in evolution won't hurt him (and will probably help him) in republican primaries but will hurt him in a general election with swing voters because it will feed into the narrative that republicans are anti-science. In his opposition to gay marriage he appeared to conflate gay marriage with bestiality and the tide seems to have turned on that issue - meaning this kind of rhetoric may help you win a republican nomination but bugger you in a general election.
I think he's more likely to end up a mike huckabee level political figure than someone who learns to control his gaffes and succeed in a national election.

Ed Schultz gets 300K from unions while sitting at his desk for MSNBC and you believe that he is not biased in his reporting, Christy Matthews has tingly legs to stand on but again no bias is seen by you. The list of biased reporting goes on or a long measure. The only show on MSNBC that has a conservative voice on it at all is Morning Joe which has a RINO at the desk with Mia for the liberal voice on the set. That is all they have for the entire broadcast day. We need to throw in the Reverend Al for the liberal racist slant of the day while we are at it.

It's so important to read Bernays. Because once you do, you know that mass manipulation is not only possible, it's not even difficult.
And once you learn his techniques, you start to see them EVERYWHERE. First you see it in advertising. And now we're seeing them overtly being used in news "reporting".
