My new cooler thread. I want to modify it to make it a bit better.

I didn't want or need the weight or the keep-cool prowess of a Yeti, and I figured a smaller cooler is going to be opened a ton more than a large one so a good deal of that thickness is overkill. I wanted a poly icechest I could stand on and something I could easily bring on the paddleboard or 4wheeler. I searched the world wide interweb and found that an Australian company made a lighter version of their beefier line.
Anyway, it came in and it's perfect for what I wanted, although it's got a few shortcomings. I want to address them and I figure you all would know products that would be upgrades. The two short comings are the sealing gasket and there are no non skid feet on the base, but you get what you pay for...
I debadged the frick out of it right out of the box. I dig the hinge and handle hardware and the latches seem to work great, for now.
The gasket is total POS.
I don't really need a permanent solution, but I was hoping some rubber D gasket made for boat hatches might upgrade the almost weather stripping shite that's on there. It's got a nice lip I can work with.
Now, the base...I need it non slip. Ideas?

I don't get why they put white hinges and handles but black latches.

Will the bungees last 6 months?

That foam traction stuff they make for the Yeti, or something similar, might be a nice addition to the top.
This is my cooler, there are many like it but this one is mine...

Not directed at you specifically, but people care a lot about ice chests these days.
