I'm going to cut back on my salt and fried foods. I usually have anxiety about doctors which might have contributed to it also

Do any of you monitor your BP on a daily basis? If so, what monitor do you use? I had one from Wal Greens and then got another one from the apple store. However, one, or maybe both, aren't accurate as I have taken multiple readings of a 2 week period, using one monitor followed by an immediate follow up reading using the other monitor and all the readings are usually off by 10 on the systolic reading.

I'm a 35 m. This has me a little concerned. I've never considered myself unhealthy I do drink probably too much beer which might have an effect on it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you consistently get readings like that. Your BP will fluctate quite a bit over a few days and if you were nervous at all it will be higher.

Last time I had my checked it was 135/78. But its been has high as 140/90, but the dr wasn't worried.

However, I recently died, so that is to be expected.

I'm normally exactly 120/80 but I am sitting at the doctors office right now and I just was 125/103. It's probably because I partied all weekend but it's still gay!

I do monitor it but not on a daily basis like I should. I tend to check it when im not feeling good to see where my numbers are. I use one u strap on your wrist, I believe its walgreens brand but not sure exactly who makes it. Ive checked it that way and had my wife check it manually with her cuff and the numbers do vary but they not far off.

It's amazing what cutting weight and salt will do to BP. I have been on meds since I was 25. I recently cut 100lbs to get to my Healthy weight and reduced my salt intake and my BP is now 105/70. 31

It runs between 110/60 and 120/75 depending on when I take it.

I have white coat syndrome bad though (ironic given that I'm a med student) and it's always at least 135/85 at the doctor. I have to take it at home.

I have the same problem. My Doc actually makes me bring my at home testing to show i'm not lying. In the office my BP still runs 150/95 but at home my readings are consistently 105/75.

Went to the doc for my sinus infection and fever a couple weeks ago so Sudafed had my systolic all jacked up, but usually run about 118-123

You need to reduce your sodium intake. Probably reducered meat intake as well.

Correct. Reducing sodium intake in addition to saturated fats can reduce BP up to 20 points. That's enough to decrease the strength of BP meds for some and get a lot of people off them altogether.

My doc just told me last week that anything over 140 or 90 is not good.
