Wow.... terrible news. LAT was one of my favorite posters all time. I used to have one of his quotes as my sig, something about making sure to grab all the Streisand records when one of the quakes was hitting LA several years ago... funny stuff. He will be missed...

That is truly sad to read this morning. I had some insightful exchanges with him over the years.

Paying my respects to a great poster. I agreed with a lot of what he said, but even if you didn't, his passion was inspirational and aspirational. Rest in peace, good sir, and welcome home.

Sad to hear. Grew up in Shreveport with "Chuck" as we called him back in the day. Same age, so I went thru every level of school with him, beginning with Summer Grove Elementary, Walnut Hill Junior High, Southwood High School and then LSU. Even roomed with him and a couple of BSU friends at the Highland Apts back in '83-'84. Chuck/Charley was ALWAYS the life of the party, whether it was at a get-together after a football game, or at a Baptist Student Union function.

He'll definitely be missed.

I only now learned of this terrible news through the context clues in another thread, and what a sad piece of news it is. My condolences to everyone on this site; from all I could gather, l.a.t. was a very unique individual, and I'm sad that I never had the chance to meet him. God rest his soul.
