I'd really like to take advantage of the three weeks of nice weather we get a year. This furniture would be under a patio but still pretty exposed to elements so I'd like something that can hold up.

What are the best places to shop for this stuff? The furniture in the Wal-MArt and Target catalogs looks like crap. Is the stuff at Sears any better?

Also I am guessing that I want to avoid wicker at all costs; I can't imagine that holding up in the wet summers. Educate me OTers.

Got mine from Sam's and it works great. Had it for 3 years and still good as new.

Craigslist just to get a quick look at what's out there... never know! But if Walmart/Target just isn't for you, check out the department stores (Macy's, JCPenney, etc) online or in-store. I remember seeing some real nice stuff at JCP.

Nothing made of wood.

We've got some nice aluminum in a dark bronze that is maintenance free. I think she bought it online from Frontgate or something.

Keep the hound dog off the cushions, otherwise they will forever smell

Shoppers Choice on Coursey next to Chimes East. They have a huge selection.

I bought the Strathwood stuff from Amazon. They have a bunch of different "collections" and what I have has held up well over the past year.
