The story of how I joined TD is oft-printed in history books and frequently sung about around campfires, but for those who somehow never heard:
I was reading 225 Magazine when an article mentioned the Baton Rouge Rocks website (does that still exist?), which I'd never heard of. I surfed there awhile when somebody mentioned "this other site I go to". I clicked on the included link and the rest is frickIN' HISTORY.
I never intended to post on TD, but you can thank another poster -- unnamed, but one with karma -- who wrote something about Monty Python so completely bass-ackerds wrong that I simply had to register and correct him (I may be the only person whose first post was on the M/TV board). So now you know who you can thank for the daily opportunity to bask in my inimitable aura.

i think Dandy Don linked it back when i joined in 03'. It was around the time of that Cotton Bowl vs Texas.

When I got back to my car from SECCG in 2003 there was a flyer or sticker on my car advertising the site. The other site I was using was going pay, so I jumped over here. Mainly a lurker here, but I'm on the site many times daily.

It was shortly after LSU football lost to Texas in the Cotton Bowl in 02(???). I was tired of the Yahoo sports message board. I googled and found this place. That was more than a decade ago....wow.

During the 2003 NC season I was lurking over at Tigerforums.com and they continually bitched about that "other LSU forum" so I figured I'd check it out. Everything, from the format to the diverse range of discussions was so much better than any forum I had been to up that point.

Ditto. Except it was 2007. They were bitchin' about how juvenile the posters were on a site called "Tiger Droppings". Of course, I had to go check it out and I don't think I ever went back to Tigerforums.

In the beginning there was Geaux.com, and it was on that LSU website that I adopted my current username sometime around 1994-1995. When Geaux.com ran out of people willing to pay to keep the site operating I migrated to Tigerroar.com for my fix of LSU info. When the owners of Tigerroar.com went members only to post I looked for another home. When they made it members only to read in 2003 I bailed and began reading the recently launched TigerDroppings.com. I lurked for several months when there might be just a few threads per day before registering and posting in Jan. 2004.

I had a Blogger group blog that I had created for my friends so that we could keep in touch after I moved to NYC. Even after I came back to Louisiana, I kept posting on it, and started posting Internet links to great LSU football games from the past. Eventually I saw that TigerDroppings was a great resource, and then signed up shortly thereafter.

I got this painful rash. I googled it, and found a thread on here asking about the same symptoms.
I rushed to the doctor to tell him of my AIDS diagnosis. He laughed a while, shot me in the arse with some penicillin, and told me about how I got trolled.
So I came back to hopefully return the favor some day.

I came here from the old Tiger Lair about the time it went subscription. I probably discovered it through Dandy Don, however.

Some gay dude talking about the OT , and a midget who agreed I should " check " it out . At first I didn't but after my priest said I needed a little mayhem in my life ,thought WTF ill give it a go.
