It seems anyone touting Christian values as a reason to vote for or send money to, or invest in, etc., is one hell of a reason to turn away and run!
It's what you do and not what you say that counts.
:kige:
Never trust a profession of faith made when the person has something to gain from it. In politics, that means unless it comes from someone with an unpopular religion (Romney, Lieberman, Ellison) I assume it's bogus.

I bet your weren't saying this shite when Clinton was in office.

Looks like an entire thread bashing the OP instead of addressing the Republican's voter manipulation by appeal to religion.

So, just so we all have this straight (no pun intended), in your demented mind, it's perfectly O.K. to go around groping, raping, and sexually harassing women, not to mention preying on teenage subordinates, as long as you never mention the words "family values" when you are running for office.

You mean like:
Global warming
Pro-abortion
Class warfare
Like those religions?

I don't think anyone would say that what this man did wasn't wrong. The problem with Toddy's post is the very selective outrage.

Yeah, I'm sure he's ok with all of that.
Looks like the OP hit a nerve with this thread.

Who cares about the intentions of the OP? I think he made a valid point that you of all people would take to heart.

It doesn't affect me in the tiniest amount because I live with the knowledge that each and every day I have the capacity to get down and dirty with the best sinners on the planet(you are a shining example of that kind of living). In the Books of Acts appears the story of a huband and wife tag team that tried to play the holier than though game with the early church and the Apostles and God. They were asked to be honest about their holding back of money that was a donation to the church and the amount was totally in their control. They reiterated the donation was 100% of the amount of sold real estate they owned. The first appeared and mantained it was indeed the fact. He died on the spot. His wife appeared later and tried the same lie she was dead out of the door by a few feet. There have been many that have used the name of Jesus for worldly gain but it comes with a warning from Paul in the Book of Phillipians about what the price that is due for doing so. In the Gospel of Matthew what the Judgement of the lambs and goats will look like on one day is told. The goats don't fare well in that one at all. They will say they have done so much and he will respond you have done nothing be gone from my presence to the sound of a big toilet flushing. There is certain bit of humor in your posting about his sinful nature that was photoed by a person that desired to throw some shite into a fan. You come here almost each and every day to quench your own thirst for sin and revel in your sewer.

I'm Catholic. I don't vote for people (R,D or I) because they have a "family/religious values" tab on their campaign website. I'm smart enough to know why they do it and choose to look at those issues that truly do affect the area they are representing.
It isn't hard.

Good thing you're not a gambler then, because you'd be broke or dead at the hands of some Mafia loan shark.

I did take it to heart. Politicians lie to get votes. Tell us what we are missing here?

Can I get some sort of confirmation of this that isn't a man who is pissed at McAllister? He very well may have said that but I would like to hear other people who know McAllister confirm that he was never religious.
eta: fixed a typo on religious.

I'm not so sure it matters to Toddy if he was or wasn't. I think he is trying to point out here the sheeple that voted for him because he said he was.

It pisses me off no more than it should for blacks who advocate AA and welfare or heterosexuals advocating on the rights of gays while campaigning.
At the end of the day it's just pandering. Kinda sucks for the Christians that voted for him based on that, but maybe they'll do their research next time.

I see this board has taken to the tactics that they accuse the dems of all the time
Instead of, "but, but, Bush did it"
Now, "but, but, Obama did it"
