I think he was talking about Southern. Because after 5 at LSU there is definitely no diversity, but not the way he means it.

isnt every college like that these days?
Actually, no. ULL, Southeastern, and Tulane aren't nearly as bad about it (although it does exist). Most colleges in the Northeast and Midwest aren't like that. Colleges in Texas aren't like that. The West Coast is slut central as far as wardrobe is concerned. It's mostly the Southeast where this curse of fashion afflicts us.

how did that shite even start? It seems like 3 or 4 years ago everyone's shirts were skin tight

It started with, and is still propagated by, the sororities. Both frats and sororities teach their members how to dress. Frats teach their members to dress nice (albeit a little douchy) where the sororities teach their members to dress like bag ladies. It's not effortlessly cute, it's lazy and unattractive.
It was the fall of 2008 when it started. I remember because my older brother was a senior at LSU. I had frequently visited him at his apartment on campus and tailgated over there on gamedays. However, during Hurricane Gustav, I lived with him for a couple days while my parents' house was out of power. Everything was fine (and I mean fine ) on campus then. When I came back for spring testing and orientation, it was like someone had flipped a switch. EVERY sorority girl was wearing that ridiculous get-up. By the fall of 2009 when I was a freshman, the disease had spread to the GDIs. Now, all of the high school kids are doing it too. It's just awful and I wish they would go back to the tennis skirts and tight shirts of the early 2000s.

THIS I attended and worked for LSU for 10 years. They had/have everything they needed to be ultra successful and screwed it up. They touched on turning things around with Emmert and then O'Keefe and Lombardi butted heads (Lombardi = moron), the economy tanked and BOOM- the dark ages of LSU. LSU has been cursed with bad administrators and lazy practices- remember James Welles? Hope he's still in prison. That and parking- its always been bad. Way worse than the other Land grant state school
Same here, but 30 years ago, it was a shite hole then and every time I come back I am shocked to see t other than the football stadium, it has gotten worse rather than better, a winning football team is not going to help anyone get a job or into grad school. There are many maker schools in the U.S. that have none of LSU'S problems, they can attract professors for whom English is not a second language, and companies will interview any graduate not just those with a 3.5. I say if you still have time pack up and leave there is a better world waiting.

Been gone for 5 years. Want to second the opinion on Middleton as well. I remember walking in the first time and thinking "wheres the rest of it?" I don't recall hearing any proposals to upgrade that building- Plattsburgh State and Bates have better libraries for 1/6 the student body (I know Bates isn't a fair comparo but Plattsburgh is)

Even Southeastern has a better library. ULL has a better library. ULM has a better library. Northwestern State has a better library. Middleton needs to by dynamited to restore the historical cross shaped quad and a new library needs to be built elsewhere, preferably close to lots of parking.
They should model it after the libraries at Kentucky, Ohio State, and Arizona State.

Didn't have any of these issues at FSU. And FSU has more students, I believe.

Apparently so. College is a frickin blast, you have to go out of your way to not have fun
Exactly, If someone doesn't have fun in college they need to look in the mirror

Having to change my password every other month. And Vlab, I can never get on. What's the point of a technology fee if I can't use the technology.

That's just one of their 4 massive libraries on their campus.

Yeah, that guy's been ripped a lot in this thread. However, I would like to see a Men's Soccer team and Men's Hockey as lettering sports competing in the NCAA.
