Hype was right on this one apparently. People were hearing this was fantastic two or three months ago.
Guess we can let it get to 10 pages before we make that claim.

This movie was very good. Although I wasn't thrilled about Hydra being reintroduced, I thought they did a good job with it.

I notice weird shite in movies. Did anyone feel as though they were watching a 3 hour TV show. I mean this in terms of production quality. It didn't look like a movie type film. It looked like a long TV show. I did love the movie btw. I thought the action was great, and the villain was awesome. Also I don't remember them confiscating Loki's sceptor at the end of Avengers. Or did they somehow transport it to earth after Loki's "death" in Thor 2?

I just got done watching it. I was blown away with how awesome this film was, and this is coming from someone that thought the first film was utter garbage. Damn the action scenes were really well done.
Kudos to these new directors and I'm really looking forward to what they have in store for us in the next film.

Got out of it earlier this evening, GREAT!
Some of the best hand to hand combat scenes I've seen in a long time. Well done, well done.

Yea I was kinda confused about his and just chalked it up to Hydra infiltrating SHIELD and that SHIELD got it at some point.
It can't be overstated how good this movie is though. And seeing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch after the first set of credits was a great teaser

It was technically reintroduced in Iron Man 3.
A.I.M. is a cover for HYDRA.

A lot of the remnants of the Battle of New York were looted. Watch "Item 47" again. Strucker probably used his HYDRA connections within SHIELD to procure it.

I mean shield had stored all of the hydra weapons and armor, which CA found in the first avenger. Very likely they recovered the staff.

Loki lost (dropped) the septor in the first avengers and then it was used to shut the portal so I'm assuming shield stored it to do research and the hydra acquired the staff.

Loki didn't have his scepter in Thor 2?

Nope. Just a dagger, which may not have even been real.
I watched CA2 yesterday and can only echo the rave reviews. I really like that as great as the winter soldier was, Hydra was still the real antagonist. Made for a great plot.
I wonder how Loki will be used going forward. Hydra, Loki< and Thanos appear to be the main antagonists going forward

I was wondering about the Thanos thing. They showed him at the end of Thor 1, and he never appeared in any movies as far as i know. Usually when they show teasers like that, they appear in the next movie or so.

loved this installment, I haven't seen thor 2 yet but this is the best stand alone movie Marvel has had since the first Iron Man.

Forget it, he's rolling.
I think the end credit scene in Avengers, and most of the Phase 2 end credit scenes (of substance) are setting up for Thanos to show up in Avengers 3, which makes sense since that is likely to be the last one with all of the original actors in it.

I think they fricked red skull up as well and hope they bring him back for the 3rd film. I think they'll have to recast him though
