Oh free, you know not all of them are like that. I mean we used to have good chats in the NSRC when I was working overnight.

Better bring a couple pens. You will run out of ink.

I'm just fricking with him.
Seriously though, LEOs have got to start using more discretion. Camera phones are watching and recording everything, so you can't really blame the sweeping anti-cop sentiment when we see new things videos and incidents like this every day.
Maybe it's just more visible, but it sure don't seem like Andy Griffith anymore

How are you allowed to do this? Any ole shmo can ride along with a cop?
Posted on 4/4/14 at 5:14 pm to DosManos
Officers can take anyone they choose for ride-alongs

I'll tell you what really got me thinking about it the other day.
I was reading This article on the Ukraine Protests yesterday and it made me think. If people were protesting, effectively, corruption and abuse by the Government, would there be those same jackbooted thugs present?
Whose side would the LEOs fall on in that sort of situation?

Good luck in your new career in Law Enforcement. I know you said it was only a ride along, but you'll see. Once you get this shite in your blood, it's hard imagine doing anything else.
(And by that I am referring to the pride of helping others and serving your community, adrenaline rush from hot calls, camaraderie ect.)
ETA: Spelling, thanks 33.

I used to do these. I had fun. On one and we stopped at a bday party for his sergeant or something. I did my 1st jello shot with them. I had just turned 21. Awkward with all these guys watching me. Haha.
Have fun!

My brother in law was a Lafayette k9 sheriff deputy.. I'd go on ride alongs every few months with him.. Loved it every time.. Hated the domestic calls but enjoyed most of the others.
We would go on Friday or Saturday night every time
Eta: I definitely considered doing it for a living but I'm sure it gets old just like anything else once the novelty wears off.
