Benjamin has so much bust potential to me.
Agreed. How many dropped balls is ok? If we do take a WR in the 1st, I want it to be Cooks, OBJ, or Matthews.
Somebody mentioned CB in the 1st and Moncrief in the 2nd which would be good. I'd rather the Saints to go CB in the 1st and use the extra 5th with their 2nd to move up and take Matthews in the 2nd. That would be perfect imo.

This one is insane
He did shite like that all the time. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this guy is going to have a bigger impact than any other WR in the draft. Watch and see. He feels more than one need, he does returns, runs out of the backfield and is an awesome WR. We have got to get this guy!!
He's like Sproles, mixed with A.J. green

The furthest we could move in the 2nd using one of the 5th round picks is about 2-3 spots. Using both we could possibly move up 6 spots. Probably not worth it, IMO.

Issue is his arrow is pointing upward and some mocks have him going to the jets...
If we get him, we're gonna need to hop up like san fran did last year.
They did 31->18 for 1st and 3rd.
Maybe we can work out a deal with someone for 1st, 4th, and 2 5ths

That's a lot of picks to give up for a team with several big contracts over the next few years. I feel like instead of trading up in this draft, we may look to trade back in order to add smaller contracts.

Say 17th vs. 27th
4yr/8.7mil
vs
4yr/7.6mil
not too big of a difference.
that 5th year option is important as well

Too many solid receivers to waste picks moving up for one guy.

Same here.
Then pick the best WR available in the 2nd.

Sorry, I wasn't too clear.
I didn't mean the salary difference between 27 and 17. I meant the difference between the 4th, 2 5ths, over 3 veterans (assuming the rookies make the team). We tend to do pretty well in the mid rounds, so having 3 players on rookie deals, as opposed to 3 vets could save some money for us.

I like Benjamin to replace Colston
then Moncrief in the 3rd to stretch the field

Jimmy Johnson said it best. The draft is a crap shoot. You want as many throws as possible.

We ranked 12 in red zone scoring percentage last year.
Since when did being 12 out of 32 teams become a bad thing??
HTran im with ya... I think Benjamin has the biggest bust factor going for him. Agree with all the reasons you listed. He doesnt bring anything to the position except height. There are guys only an inch or 2 shorter that are way more complete at WR. I see Benjamin and Evans being compared to VJax. I see it with Evans, not with KB. People dont realize how big of a freak VJax really is / was in college.
And we already have a speedster in Stills, so I dont see the need for a guy like Cooks or OBJ. Its funny when people say Stills is a possession WR, not a deep threat, and doesnt play as fast as he is. He led the NFL in YPC as a rookie. Stupid when peopel say hes not a burner or whatever. Thats exactly what he is.
RandalThor, I think Matthews is the 3rd best WR also. I woudnt mind if we take him at 27. Not one bit. IMO, hes the best fit for our offense and can come in and play immediately. Great size, speed, hands, and route running. And best of all for me, he is reliable and clutch in the big moment. He wants the ball thrown his way in crunch time. He can grasp the offense and is already polished to the point where he can play as a starter day 1. Cant say the same for most of the WRs in this class. He reminds me so much of Reggie Wayne, and is taller by a few inches.
I like Moncrief as well... but hes also tough to figure out as well production wise. Big, strong, fast, and athletic as hell. But never really became that monster on the field that you think he would be.
Graham, Colston, Matthews, and Stills, with Brees throwing them the ball.... good luck trying to stop us.

Matthews or Donte Moncrief in the 2nd would be sweet. I'm a little more intrigued by Moncrief myself....6'2"- 220lbs. and runs a 4.4.
This is what I think too. I am starting to seriously doubt Matthews will be around with our 2nd rounder, but Moncrief intrigues me.
