I actually listen to DP every morning cuz I have a desk job, when this subject is broached on an almost weekly basis he states he is against paying players like employees. He admits that a system like that wouldn't work due to the wide array of issues at play.

I think he was simply trying to get Emmert to admit that the current system is unfair. As a basic argument, DP is right in my opinion. Texas A&M banked of JFF's likeness and JFF faced potential sanctions for doing so.
I'll take the 3rd one with Fuller and Matthews.
I'd go:

1. Fuller
2. Lee
3. Beckham
4. Verrett
5. Cooks
6. Roby

I'd rather one of the 3 main CBs (Gilbert, Dennard, Fuller) over any other WR outside of Evans and Watkins. Obviously, Watkins and Evans will not be possibilities at 27. The WR class to me is so deep, I think we could get a good one in round 2. However, I wouldn't want to reach for a CB outside of the 3 named above. Verrett and Roby interest me tho.
I hooked up a Slingbox to my cable box for my brother-in-law in Tampa.

With the right hardware/software, your brother can have the game on his TV from his computer.
I wish we had enough moolah to make a run at him.

re: Ajinca changed the game

Exactly. I like Ajinca as the 2nd C off the bench, but by no means should he get starters minutes, outside of our current roster at the position.

I've seen a couple mocks showing Taylor Lewan from Michigan falling to us.

I would take him in a nano-second. While I like Strief, you have to take BPA regardless of position. Most draft gurus are saying that the 3 top OTs in this draft, including Lewan, are all better than Joekel and Fisher, the top 2 OTs taken in last year's draft.

That's going to be the description of every big man we bring in. Face it, our front-court will primarily comprised for Davis/Anderson for the foreseeable future.

I understand that, but bringing in a C with a similar skillset to Robin Lopez isn't out the realm of possibility.

re: Chris Paul: 0-12 2 pts.

Like stated above he has always had issues with bigger PGs. But his 0/12 stat line might bring the biggest smile to my face.
He should be nothing more than a big body off the bench. He has played well in spurts. I hope if we keep Gordon, we can get a capable starter at C.
Do it, Loomis. Find us some money!

Give it to me to handle for you.

re: Goodwin Return?

Given that not one center, except DLP's 2 recent visits, are seemingly getting a sniff, I think we are just waiting to fill other holes.

I do expect a vet C, like Goodwin, to be signed and "earn" a spot in TC with Lelito and a rookie.

Goodwin Return?

From Rotoworld:

The Saints could pursue free agent C Jonathan Goodwin if fellow free agent Brian de la Puente signs elsewhere.

The Redskins and Giants have already shown interest in de la Puente, our No. 2 available center prior to free agency opening. Goodwin would be a downgrade, but he could step right in as a starter after starting 47 games for the Saints and making one Pro Bowl between 2006-10. The 35-year-old would be a bridge to the future at the center spot.

I would be for such a move.

Matthews or Donte Moncrief in the 2nd would be sweet. I'm a little more intrigued by Moncrief myself....6'2"- 220lbs. and runs a 4.4.

This is what I think too. I am starting to seriously doubt Matthews will be around with our 2nd rounder, but Moncrief intrigues me.
He and Shyne Graham are either the same age or 1 year apart. I would like a younger stud kicker, but Bironas would be an upgrade over Graham.

I feel like we are taking a corner and a wr in the first 2 rounds.

I would love Dennard in the 1st and Jordan Matthews in the 2nd.

we need to get Kenny Britt before he goes to New England

Yes!

If we have Strief, I think it gives us the stability and continuity to roll with Lelito at center. The kid is more of a mauler than dlp.

Not sure how comfortable we are with Lelito. Some decent vets at C are still available. Goodwin and Zuttah are names that come to mind at the moment.

Just very excited we may be getting Strief done soon. Doing so definitely stabilizes the oline.
