Meh... would rather want to see drop rate.

College catch rate isnt the best thing to look at when judging a player. College stats for that matter.

Not all guys are playing with NFL QBs or system. Some guys played horrible Ds, other played great ones. Some guys were on teams that were balanced and had multiple threats that D had to scheme against, while others were the only guy on the team that was a threat and teams were doubling them.

Patrick O' Rly.... I said the same thing. According to that guy, Stills isnt a burner or a deep threat. I was like WTF... he ran a 4.38 40. Led the NFL in YPC as a rookie. But isnt a burner or a deep threat, and isnt that fast on the field. Makes a lot of sense.

maybe not but it isn't some useless, stupid stat either.

I remember an Ole Miss fan saying on this board they would love it if we got Moncrief but he also said he has questionable hands at times.

notice Moncrief's number there.

Would rather look at their highlights/ combine and see how they catch the ball rather than "catch rate"
For instance, Benjamin is big as frick, but I don't like how he catches the ball. Most are with his body, and you think Graham has alligator arms at times

I agree with that. But if were talking about drops, show me drop rate. Not catch rate.

And some WRs get 40 screens or bubbles a year. That will help inflate their catch rate.

I just would rather see drop rate over catch rate.

Agree here.

I'm liking Cooks more and more but I'd like not to get my hopes up because usually no good comes from it.

Matthews may not have had a big week at the Senior Bowl but that's alright. His body of work at Vandy speaks for itself. You want to talk about sub par QB's? Well, they were on display this year at the Senior Bowl. Matthews worked after practice with one of the QB's on the Monday practice to get some of the timing down. I just can't remember which QB it was.

dumb stat. different types of receivers. Cooks probably had a good bit of screens

Actually the exact opposite. Cooks took the least amount of screens. While Watkins and Matthews got almost half of their production from screen plays. That's what makes Cooks such an elite prospect. He can do it all from many different ways. Very diverse attributes as a receiver.
