The team looked tired. You can't keep running and pressing with a 6 man rotation when the other team is throwing 10 guys against you.

And before anyone says "wait til he gets his own guys" most of the players on the bench are his guys.

All I will say is that I am disappointed in the coaching this season.

Last season: 9-9 (SEC) and 19-12 (overall)
This season: 9-9 (SEC) and 18-12 (w/SEC tourney remaining)

Disappointed as well.

I don't know what this coach is paid compared to other BB coaches out there. But my guess is this isn't one of the highest paying jobs out there. Since the days of Nick Saban and on into Les Miles' tenure, what has the LSU football program learned about quality coaches, compensation, and results that the BB program might benefit from? Hmmm?

Well, another mediocre basketball season in the books Always a pleasure
. I think mediocre is being too kind. Given the talent wasted and the fact that this season we get even fewer wins than last year it's pretty darned dissapointing.

I guarantee you that if CJJ got paid 2 mil per year, this board would meltdown.

I'd like to see some fire from CJJ. I'm no basketball coach and I certainly don't want to see CJJ to start berating players and throwing chairs...

But college kids do need some motivation and direction. Expecting kids to be self-motivated because you were at that age seems illogical.

Standing with your hands on your hips during the entire roller coaster season doesn't help IMHO.

It seems the only motivation that has worked is benching and even that has had fleeting results.

The rub is that with Morgan's injury and I think what turned out to be a miscalculation byt the staff of how significant a contributor some of the other newcomers would be, the options for benching are perilous.

JJ either need to find another carrot or stick to get the kids to do what they are told, get an assistant on the bench who can, or he needs to recruit more self-motivated talent.

Some of the "talent" coming off the bench for Georgia was far less than what we left sitting on the bench. Its a matter of using players in the right situations. And good coaching.

Most folks here thought 18 wins would be our finish but had hopes for more. LSU had a winning season and finished even in the SEC, I believe those who had the early insight knew what this team could do. It bore itself out that way. I am proud the team fought all year and represented LSU. There are two tourneys left so lets give them support,
