I don't think they would have had enough fuel to reach the Maldives.

I think they had enough fuel but it would be impossible to ping so far away

I am very uncomfortable watching CNN show us how to disable transponders and other stuff in the cockpit.

Well we can only go with what they are providing as "fact"...which is the plane crossed the highlighted arc at 8:11 am...making landing in the Maldives impossible.
I'm not convinced of anything. I have some theories but I have other theories that say they're wrong.

Another question that needs to be answered, if Flight 370 did indeed crash, why didn't the emergency homing beacon activate?

I'm curious about that also. Did the one from Brazil to France go off?

Allegedly...because either it didn't crash or it sank in deep water with limited hours to send a signal that was never received...which gets back to the question of whether it crashed.

If the plane made the turn before the 'good night' something's up, undoubtedly.

Something's definitely up. That's a very concise and profound statement.

That's all on flight simulator software anyway. I doubt they're revealing anything that's not easily available elsewhere.

I question the credibility of that Fox News article - no one else is reporting that the plane had already turned by the time the first officer said "All right, good night".
Also...
Also...

At 1:19 p.m. on March 8, 12 minutes after the plane had changed course to the west, co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid gave a routine "All right, good night" in his final radio call.
