I'm getting on a plane next week, too.

So on CNN right now you can tweet your question to them using #370Qs. I just tweeted them "Is there any chance the plane could have landed in the Maldives?"

Luv you know in your heart these people are nothing more than food for countless types of marine life.
I've not read this thread, but the answer is usually the most obvious.
Something like the Payne Stewart situation.

Former Air Force General was just on Hannity and said that he believes that the plane landed in Pakistan with both pilots complicit in the hijacking.

I was holding on to hope they were still alive until my crazy nightmare Saturday night. I was on the plane and the whole thing was on fire. I was on fire, everyone was on fire and we were headed straight towards the water. I woke up sitting straight up in bed and mriluv said I was screaming.

You mean a plane's occupants becoming unconscious, and the plane just drifting off? You do realize that two fighter jets escorted that doomed plane to make sure that it didn't crash in a populated area?
I don't recall Payne Stewart's plane turning around just before dropping off of radar for 7.5 hours.

I love me some Fox News, but come on. Hannity? He is just as bad if not worse than the MSNBC hacks.
Posted on 3/18/14 at 9:57 pm to Choupique19
I'm not saying the exact specifics were the same.
Just the end results. The plane will be found somewhere and there will be a logical but not necessarily sinister plot as to what happened.

I disagree.
The plane may have ended up at the bottom of the ocean, but it was hijacked, and it's looking like the pilots were involved.

If it crashed in the ocean I doubt the pilots hijacked it

I would not be surprised if some military shot the hijacked plane down out of the sky, and no one has figured out the best way to bring that news to the public. A couple of nations have been acting fishy.

You don't believe the arc and last known satellite ping to be accurate then?
Honestly, I don't have a clue regarding whatever allegedly happened.

I doubt a plane turns around mid flight without telling the air traffic controllers that there is a problem.

On the less than one percent chance that this flight avoided detection all the way to Pakistan, it wouldn't surprise me for this guy to go on FOX news and throw out a veiled threat to any country harboring this plane.
He stated the US has ceased its search in the Indian Ocean and Israel has stepped up its air defense for a reason. IMO, this is a bluff.
In the remote chance a country has knowingly allowed this plane to land, we are unofficially firing a shot across their bow. There's no way this General goes on national television and publicly states that we are holding the cards, when we actually have a pat hand.

I'm flying Thursday, but just a couple short flights.

This is the best and most realistic explanation I have heard yet about this flight. I believe this one.
That has already been debunked.

Now we know the plane had already started turning when the co-pilot said "good night" to ATC.

Well we can only go with what they are providing as "fact"...which is the plane crossed the highlighted arc at 8:11 am...making landing in the Maldives impossible.
