I just read through the entire "Best arse whooping LSU has given an opponent in the last decade thread"

Before I even opened it, VT in 2007 popped into my head. It is also the overwhelming most popular answer in the thread. This is not by accident-LSU fans want more if these games in Tiger Stadium.

So lets start a new thread on the need to have more of these games in TS and nit fricking neutral site games. Wisconsin in TS next year would be reminiscent of VT in 2007. Instead it's fricking neutral site, which by the way is going to ruin college football! Who is with me?????

Let all the coaches and asst ADs who read this know we want more VTs in TS and not New Mexicos and Towsons. And if we want to see a football game in Reliant, we will go when the Saints play the Texans. College Football is better, just keep it on campus!!!!'

LSU players like playing in front of people in the 2nd half of games. Thats why neutral site games are scheduled.

Yep, this is a problem exclusive to LSU. And I really hate the money and exposure it brings to our program. I bet the players hate playing in fancy NFL stadiums against marquee opponents, too.

LET EM KNOW HWO WE FILL ABOUT IT!!!

Its a catch 22 situation. LSU gets invited into these high profile off campus games because....LSU is a national power & the interest in pitting two storied programs together in a big time venue is what gets ratings. I don't like it because I'd rather not have to drive to Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, etc to watch the game but the alternative, not being a national power & not getting invited to be a part of these games, sucks. So its kinda like the whole night game vs day game argument, sure we'd love to have every game in TS start at 7 but if ESPN & the "machine" that drives CFB says 2:30, then so be it. It is the price you pay for success & national attention.

If you don't neutral site games, talking on a message board won't do it. Not buying tickets to those games will do it.

I love the neutral site games and have went to every one of them in recent history. That being said, I would love to have more home and home series with a top out of conference opponent. The few we have had in the past have created lots of excitement and great games to travel to.

Neutral site stuff is a novelty that has worn off for me and in my opinion is to blame for poor bowl attendance but I think it's here to stay.

It's a money thing, and everyone will continue to do it regardless of whether or not it is good for college football (which I say it isn't).

If you think this Wisconsin deal is bad, you should see my undergrad school, UCF. We were supposed to play Penn St at home in 2014, but we took a huge ESPN paycheck to play the game in Ireland to start the CFB season. Now BYU is our marquee home game.

I like a road trip to start of the season. Plus, playing in Dallas and Houston is pretty big for recruiting.

The Arizona game in 2006 was a beatdown. AZ had 35 yds rushing and less than 200 total yards.

Unfortunately I doubt you'll see any more decent home games for a while. Neutral site seems to be where it's at.
