A dirty Hendricks martini has become my #1 drink over the past few months.

I also like cocktails with gin and St. Germain

I don't need to. I drink what I enjoy, Otis The Town Drunk. I can load my gin and tonic (diet to cut the sweet taste) with olives and "the dirty" stuff and some onions etc...

And, a gin bloody mary is where it's at. Vodka in a bloody mary is yuckola.

Tofurky was okay. Nothing to brag about it's just easy when you want something simple for dinner. It certainly does the trick. I don't eat it very often.

I've always wondered, though, why folks who are vegan eat things that have meat like names and textures and really, the curiosity only applies to those who are vegan because of animal rights issues or those related issues.

Because I can enjoy these things without their being an animal involved. Yes, there are certainly some things that tastes/look/feel too much like the real deal and it will definitely creep me out. I always have to do a double take. This is why I don't have them often. But I do love me a veggie burger... nothing like having a sloppy burger every once in a while.

As I've stated before, since my switcharoo was health motivated, I try to stay away from the processed crap, regardless of whether it's vegan or not. Not saying I never have it (processed food) though.

Meat replacements also have 0 cholesterol

Martini's are too strong for me as well. Can't say I've given them too many tries though!

Thanks for the answer. Your answer makes sense. I would have asked a friend of mine, but she would have gone all out nutty over converting me. She's a relative new vegan and is still in the honeymoon period as I call it. We all had to hide her posts on Facebook. She posts about 20 a day and sends petitions regularly that I ignore.

But I do love me a veggie burger.

I'm a fan too. I live near the uptown Satsuma(go way too often). One thing I usually order is the "burger".
It is: Veggie “Burger”-brown rice and lentil patty, tofu mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion
on sourdough or whole wheat $9

It's delicious. My mother would never believe I would eat something like that but I love it.

The thought makes me throw up in my mouth a bit, but after a few shaken, slightly dirty vodka martinis, I'd try one...or two.

I like that boss. You're sharp today. What's the end of the story? Tell me how the Vegan and the Gumbo Queen took out the Town Drunk.

Otis, I'm liking my new name for you. OTTD. You and Methuselah gonna make that hog head cheese soon?
