No not at all but to say that Oakbourne has the best greens in the state is laughable.

I would like others to play a pete dye course then talk about hard greens.
He's legitimately in my top 10 hated people on earth.

That's funny. I ran into Pete Dye at a shell station in Luling a few years ago. He noticed the hat I was wearing from a tournament I had recently played in. He said, "a Reese Jones track, I like Reese. He's the only man in the country hated more than me!"

I could be wrong but I think oak harbor is Dye deign as well.

Then why are they getting ready to strip them and go with a different grass?
Which club do you think has the best greens in Louisiana?

Truer words have never been spoken.

CCLA greens circa 1988 when they had Bent must have been the best Louisiana has ever seen.
I know this is had to believe but Pelican Point had the best bermuda greens I have ever played on in Louisiana around 7 or 8 years ago. Fast and true.
Everything I've played in the last few years is grainy as hell or beat up. I don't get to play outside the city anymore.

As far as BR courses, IMO:
CCL has the best layout
BRCC is the most consistent at staying in great shape
UC is a 800 lb. gorilla with a chainsaw for a dick, requires a more rounded game to score.
Play all 3 pretty regularly

Squire creek has great greens. BRCC for the member guest has unbelievable greens.

I've always thought TPC's greens were pretty good year round.
Local course rank:
Bluffs
CCL
BRCC
Uclub
Tie--Santa Maria, Island, beaver, copper, greystone
Pelican
Webb
LSU
Santa Maria would be #2 for me if it was private and in equal condition as U-Club. U club conditions are pretty good year round.

I wish UClub was not so hard. It is definitely 6-8 strokes harder than a typical course.
If they would let the grass grow a little plusher around the greens, it would make it much more tolerable.
