Gonna post this here cause the F&D board is dead at the moment. Taking the wife out for her birthday dinner tonight. We are driving from Lake Charles. Any recommendations on a good seafood restaurant in or around the Lafayette area. We were thinking of going to Pat's in Breaux Bridge but we are open to suggestions though.

does it have to be a fancy place? If not, then Guidrys Reef. Get the seafood salad and their gumbo.

Also, Jolies is my favorite restaurant in Lafayette.

Lastly, riverside inn in Broussard. Excellent place.

Dupuy's Oyster Shop in Abbeville. It's been there for 130 years so you know they are doing something right.

I suggest the crab cakes for an appetizer, they are pricier than at most places but well worth it.

No, just looking for seafood that will knock my socks off. Good seafood places are few and far between in Lake Charles.

Crawfish on the Bayou is in a small little store in Henderson. It's not fancy by any means whatsoever but some of the BEST food I've ever had.
