Most of my 20-30yr old friends all live in Lakeview. Rent can be pricey though

Rent is cheaper there, than most other parts of the city you'd want to live in.

I guess it is comparable to uptown. The rest of the city, like the hipster parts, is much cheaper

I live across the street from Lakeview, and enjoy hanging out there a lot. Can go out to eat there, go running, jump to uptown bars and food. I cam get downtown from. My house in 5 minutes

Just thought of the preserve apartments. Good location for a resident. Don't know anything else about them. Have a friend that lives at the ones on tulane (crescent club) and doesn't have issues. May be another place to look.

I'd be more worried as a single woman getting repeated speeding tickets for going 2-3 miles over the limit on the Erhart Expressway ..., than I would living in any number of places in the actual city itself.

You've gotten tickets on Earhart? I fly down that thing. Have for over ten years.

And there there is always Metaire between Causeway and 17th street canal

How good looking is this broad?

I can check with Mrs. Sheep to see if we can clear out the guest bedroom.

I guess they're too busy pulling over me & my wife to pull over anyone else. Either that or I need one of these

Garden district, pockets of uptown, and pockets of mid city.

I would say uptown has pockets of bad. Seems to be more good than bad IMO.

If she wants to be in the city, mylsuhat has it pretty well covered with the map he posted. If not, look to Metairie or Mandeville.

Ditto Tiger & the hat - if she is living here for the first time, make it uptown to truly appreciate NOLA, especially at her age

Most all of NOLA can and does. People just have to be aware of their surroundings which most aren't.
Good luck to this young lady.

Old Metairie area. Close to everything and cheaper car insurance.
