Sorry if Germans,
but I would like to take this time to congratulate the "pro-life" movement. You've really done a good job with all the laws you've been passing. Keeping a dead woman on life support for weeks as her body decomposes - all to keep a 14 week old fetus alive - for what? Did anyone honestly expect it would make it to viability? (24 weeks). That's 10 weeks of gestating in a dead body. The mother was without oxygen for an HOUR before she was put on life support machines.
Texas and anti-choicers are messed up.

Her poor widower could smell her body decomposing.

It's Germans but it's amazing that some actually believe it's God's plan to hook up a cadaver to a machine and use it as an incubator for a fetus.

So when a mass of 20 week old tissue is put in an incubator, does its smell turns from rotting flesh into life?

Congratulations! You are as persuasive as a EBR council member against St. George. Takes a lot to reach that level, but you have done it. Again, congratulations!

Which is sadder? The fact that you thought this would be a good troll, or that the usual suspects showed up and actually supported it. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconrotflmao.gif)

She's being kept alive even though she's clinically dead.
Interesting ethical dilemma for the physician. You have to look out for your patient and respect the family's wishes....but in this case there are two to look out for. In this case, the courts demanded that the mother be removed from life support.
No. She was clinically dead....she was being kept alive via life support.
You are way, way off base with this....but that's par for the course with you.

Check back with the kid in a few years and see if he is okay with it.

Germans and this was resolved by a court last week.
This should've ended a long time ago. This fetus was not viable at all at 14 weeks and that's where the law fricked up with no viability stipulations requiring a brain dead woman to bring the fetus to term. The gov't was insane to go through with this and force the possibility of the child being born completely deformed and living a very short and brutal life if it managed to make it that far. There are people who want to bring a fetus up to viability all the way from 14 weeks and be perfectly fine with or ignorant of the baby being completely deformed and living a very short and painful life. That's sick, creepy and inhumane.
This isn't a pro-life or abortion issue. It's no different than a miscarriage.
