This is on the lead Detective actually. Accepted procedure is that an informant is searched before AND after any type of controlled buy for this very reason. Any half-decent cop knows that the informant is prone to pulling crap like this since they are either doing this for money or to work off charges.
The whole "they are profiling the black man" thing is a bunch of crap though. Why can't you just say "he got screwed over", why does it have to be a race thing all the time?

Head shops are targeted all the time. The owner's race has nothing to do with it, but throwing the race card is the only thing the black "leaders" in the community know to do.
Also, I thought the media told me that the south is the only place where racism exists in this country.

No. The answer would help us to determine whether planting crack (a drug typically associated with the black community) was racially motivated though. If 10 business owners were white (which is likely up there) and they planted crack on the 1 black business owner...

Didn't know crack was a race-associated drug (see Toronto Mayor Rob Ford).
I don't think throwing the race card without substantial evidence does anything but immediately trigger dissent these days. I can tell you that as soon as I hear that accusation, I immediately question the argument because most of the time, the accusation is complete bullshite. I never thought of what race the owner was until that lady cried racism. I just chalked it up to cops being complete crooked assholes. I think these cops should have severe repercussions for what they did whatever the skin color of the owner. The heinous act they committed is more than enough to be outraged about.
The perception or accusation of racism is becoming more damaging than the actual evidence or proof, which is sad. Accusations like that without concrete evidence do little to help the real problems of racism. Unfortunately, this is now the crutch of most in the black community and has done absolutely nothing to narrow the gap between the races in this country.

I can agree with this; however, my experiences with Mick and Wop cops up in New York is that they are generally racist as frick.
