i wonder how many people complaining about the behavior also watch wrestling somewhat regularly (or at least have done so)

i bet it's a frick ton of overlap

Are you trying to compare wrestlers and football players? One sport where there are actors and the other where the people are real life people?? There's a reason why its called the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). The NFL is a professional organization. One sport uses chairs as weapons, the other doesn't. Do I really have to continue?

not really, since it was basically the same thing in a sports-entertainment setting

Why are so many people knighting and trying to find any dumb excuse to ok Shermans actions?

he didn't do anything worth discussing, let alone discussing to this extent

all he did was show some emotion and talk a little G-rated shite. it's not a big deal, and was quite awesome

But is he an arrogant player who does nothing but act like a fool and parade around like an idiot?

he does other things, like be a fricking badass cornerback

Exactly. His jackassery should be celebrated, not hated.

I wonder if people got as mad when Al pacino killed all those people in Scarface. Since he is a murderer. That is the argument you are making

you interpret it that way because you have common sense.
I'll take that as a compliment.

What's worse, though, is that Broadway's tweet sort of rings true. Sherman is a well educated, intelligent and intellectual individual. He's very smart on the football field. But, the average NFL fan or just average American may see that and say "Typical".

Sherman's not typical. He just puts on this front of being a butthole on the field. Crabtree showed great restraint.

Congrats. But he is arrogant as well. People have been hating arrogant athletes from the beginning of time. Why are people surprised that no one likes Sherman?

Seems like everyone would prefer empty meaningless cliches over actual raw emotion.

I wonder how many of these people also bitch about the "pussification of the NFL."

yes. they're both in sports entertainment. this interview was after the game, so it wasn't part of the sport itself

media sessions with football players = watching people acting, too

just yesterday there was at least 1 long thread about how people hated russell wilson b/c he was so fake. i agree...i hate the fake, sanitary, coach-speak infused state of the game today. i want real reactions

and?

nothing wrong with arrogance if you can back it up (and arrogance is needed in order to perform at that level at CB)

I'm not surprised. LSU fans are still upset pete won half of their title. Hate pete and anyone who plays for him.

Sherman is a loud mouth on the field not at the movie theater or in a restaurant

I like Russel Wilson a ton. I also dont mind Pete Carrol. And i think Sherman is the best corner in the game, but i also think he is an arse. So would your insecure Tulane self like to make another little brother comment about LSU?

I hate Pete Carroll because Pete Carroll is so very hateable. It has nothing to do with LSU.
