Some times it is hard to fathom the stupidity on this board. If he sees any significant playing time by the fifth or sixth game it will be a miracle. He does not know the blocking schemes and I could go on and on and on,but no way LM lets him get his QB killed. All of you are full of cacagua.
You know how many freshmen play significantly? You are dumb.

It would have been had you said total?

Fwiw Jamal Lewis had one of the best freshman seasons of all time. He had 1370 yards and 7 TD's. Anything close to that would be great.
quote:
In his freshman year in 1991, Faulk amassed 1,429 yards and 23 total TDs (21 rushing, 2 receiving), including an amazing 386-yard, 7-TD performance against Pacific on his way to first-team All-American honors.
quote:
Tony Dorsett, a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh.1,686 yards and 13 touchdowns
quote:
Although not a starter for half the year, in 1996 Ron Dayne still managed to rack up 1,863 yards rushing as a true freshman (the freshman record at the time).
quote:
He ended that season with 1,341 rushing yards, a school record, and became the fastest player ever to reach 1,000 yards in a season (he did it in just his 7th game). Smith was named SEC and National Freshman of the Year, and earned enough votes to finish 9th in the Heisman voting.
quote:
In his first (and ultimately, only) season at THE Ohio State University, Clarett rushed for 1,237 yards and 18 touchdowns (after playing in just 11 of the team’s 14 games). His running led the Buckeyes to the 2002 national championship, beating Miami in the Fiesta Bowl on Clarett’s overtime touchdown dive.
quote:
Peterson tallied 1,925 yards, led the nation with 339 carries, and finished second to USC's Matt Leinart in the Heisman voting.

Peyton was the QB for Tennessee. I'm sure Lewis would have gotten more carries if he wasn't there.

Look @ all the arse holes calling me dumb, but all of you are listing players, to make your point, who did not play @ LSU and sure as hell did not play for LM. I'm dumb, go look in the mirror stupid.

...and none of you will be close to what you're expecting and you'll all blame Les Miles for the lack of production.
I find alot of complaining and whining of Les Miles and player development are the result of overexpectations. Look at the first post in this thread. It's ridiculous. Regardless if he's the top RB in the class or not.

Here's what I predict:
1. Kenny Hilliard is in a contract year. His performance will look closer to his game against auburn when ware was suspended, and he'll have 120 carries
2. Terrence Magee runs with a mean streak, and has gotten better every year he plays. From an attitude standpoint, he reminds me of Joe Addai. He'll have a good year as we'll.
3. And then there's Fournette. By the time he leaves LSU, we'll look back and say "yep. He was the best we have ever head. The one thing that doesn't get enough run on Fournette is his character. There are several Leonard Fournettes, of various ages, walking around this country today. What THIS LF has that they don't is the drive, brains, and upbringing to make him special. By midway through the season, I honestly do think he'll be spoken of in the same conversations of Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, and Adrian Peterson. He'll be the best we've ever had.
Enjoy the next cpl years fans. You'll not see this again in your lifetime.
ps. I'm not a star gazer. I never say this about a kid that's never taken a snap in college.

LF will have at least 900 yards rushing and 250 yards receiving his freshman year.

I thought RB was the easiest thing to learn?
You are using the "He does not know the blocking schemes" thing from the next Adrian Peterson...He is running- screw the blocking schemes. If he cannot pick up the pressure guy, he will get him the next time.
You sound like Obama and Pelosi selling Pre-existing condition coverage!!
Grow a pair and let this stud run!!!!
