2002 Ford Ranger: Will crank, Won't Ignite

Trucks been sitting at my mother's for 9 months. Put in a new battery so it's cranking and added fuel incase the gauge was wrong. All fuses in place, didn't check for any burnouts. Shouldn't be the clutch safety switch cause it wouldn't even crank if that's the case. Is it Fuel Pump? Any suggestions and what's the estimated cost I'm looking at here? Can I fix it myself?

ethanol added fuel gets gummed up when it sits for a long while.

A little sprits of that in the air intake should get it to bust off.

Gummed up fuel injectors, then I should start with B-12 in the tank then and let it sit?

Just tried Starting Fluid, engine dies out right after. So it's not the engine but a component outside of that.

You will hear the fuel pump click on. Have someone try to start the car and have your ear by the gas tank. Right before the car starts you should hear the mechanical pump whirl. If you don't hear it then it's the fuel pump.
But like others have said.. probably just gummed up.

Check the emergency fuel shut-off switch inside the passengers side fuse box opening.
If that's fine.. then just give it a tuneup.. fuel filter, plugs etc. clean out the throttle body.

Are you getting fuel to the injectors?

My dad's 2001 sat for about a year after he died. It did the same exact thing. I had to drop the tank and put a fuel pump in it. Fired right up afterwards.

I had a small orifice get clogged in a generator's carburetor that required me to clean it out by hand from ethanol fricking it up.
It would crank and immediately die.

Heard the clicks and the whirl. Will check the fuel shutoff fuse, perhaps the new battery burned it out. Got a mechanic buddy coming over to take a gander at it. Will probably end up getting a tune up.

Keep running the starter fluid for a while. It should work

I've sprayed it in the Intake at least 6 separate times which is twice than recommended, afraid it'll melt the spark plugs.
What's the deal about Seafoam? I've heard of it before.
