Yall do realize we already had the highest paid OL coach in the country with Stud right?


He made over 2X as much as Grimes did at VT


Grimes = 235k

Stud = 500k

Grimes, or whomever we hire, will cost less than Stud but still get a nice raise

thank you. was coming here to point this out. Just the improvement in recruiting is worth the difference probably.

And I'm sure Cam and what he needs from a coach was a factor. Maybe Grimes has had experience in such a style of offense and that tipped the scales.

since Mawae consulted much of the 2013 season they had a good look at him. And I do remember him saying (tweet? interview? can't remember where) that he wasn't so sure about the CFB coaches lifestyle with his kids at the age they were.
