Team you would take over in the NFL next season

On Dan Patrick show this is the morning's hot debate, and many callers/panel members are choosing the Saints.
Some people claim they are 1 running back away, they were just one or two plays away from being in the NFCCG etc.
The debate takes into consideration the players, city/location, the whole shebang.

If it's a team that needs or needed a coach this offseason it would be detroit or tampa bay.
Both of their teams are pretty stacked on high picks that are playing well, but need a good leadership/roll model away from being playoff contention.
If it's any team, I don't wanna sound homerish so I'm going with Seattle. A good bit of thier starters are making chump change for another 2 years or so lol

Yeah, that one didn't really fit, just throwing out what I'm hearing from some of the callers.

I think the Houston Texans are the team to take over. I'd draft three or four QBs to find a franchise QB. They have really good players everywhere else. They are also in a very weak division.
The Cardinals are also a very underated team that is a QB away IMO. The problem is they are in a tough division.

the Saints really are a couple of superstars on either side of the ball from being a force
Armstead made a huge difference on the line
the defense was incredible considering some key injuries (yes i know everyone has injuries but the Saints hardly missed a beat)
i don't know that they need a beastly running back, lets draft Mike Evans in the first.

it's hard to find the right qb in this league.. so yeah you might have to draft 3 or 4.
the texans aren't as good as they once were tho.. and as crappy as their division is.. they have at least gotten competitive.
the lions have a lot of talent, but definitely in a highly competitive division.

Disagree. I think we are fine at RB with the emergence of Ingram and Robinson.
Maybe a center and WR away.....

Not really. We are a lineman and a defensive back away from being a force (Vaccaro getting hurt really hurt the whole team). So maybe actually just two linemen away..

By some people you mean the one guy that called in said that. Other than the one guy who called in I didn't hear anyone mention the Saints.

The panelists said we had our QB situation squared away and whatnot, but the majority all chose Seattle and San Fran going forward.

What I would draft/pick up would be massive but nimble offensive linemen that can PASS BLOCK.
Even though some of them are getting older, we still have all the skill players necessary, PLUS -return our fastest WR in Morgan and are tallest in Toon next year! All Brees needs is time to throw.
I am not worried about our running game with Ingram (yes, Ingram), KRob, Sproles and Pierre.
Cadet is another possibility as he returns kicks.
A big-time FB might help though. (Copeland?)
That being said, we may not be able to pass up a big-time WR and/or RB if one becomes available like Evans or Hill.
On defense, not only do we return Smith, Vilma, that Dallas LB we picked up?, Kenyon, P.Robinson, Vaccaro, Greer, but we also gained valuable experience for many defensive backups who played this year. Ryan will have some nice personnel problems next year.
Overall I think our needs are:
1. Offensive Line
2. Kicker
3. Return men
4. Big time WR and/or RB
5. Depth at Dline.

Same can be said of SF. In a few years these teams will come back down to earth. They caught serious bargains with Kaep and Wilson. Once they have to pay them though, the quality of the team will drop.
