he's proven he can ball, how much playing time do you see him getting with Hill (assumed to be coming back) and Fournette?

With hill leaving, is Magee the defacto starter in spring practice?

Same as this year. Change of pace back that comes in against tired defenses

He'll still get his touches. With a new qb next year, I don't see us throwing that much

He is one great back and can go the distance anytime he has the ball. I hope he gets many chances.

I don't expect Fournette to get a lot of carries out of the gate. His carries should gradually increase. I would expect Magee to have 10+ carries a game the first few games

Probably the Spencer Ware role ala 2010.

We're gonna be a damn loaded backfield with Hill, Fournette, Magee, and Hilliard. At LSU, that's not a crowded backfield believe it or not. There's always the guys who are beastly at the start of the season who kind wear down and then the guys who are fresh that wreck shite down the stretch.

He's going to be more involved than people think. I think he'll be our #2 back. He's a SR and talented, I think he has earned his carries.

I keep seeing the word 'carries.'

I think that we will see a much increased usage of our RB's in the passing game next year because Cameron has historically liked them to be involved, and we will not have a QB with the velocity to throw those sideline routes like Mett has done.

That said, I say our RB's get around 50-55 RB touches a game. I know that this is a shite ton, but out WR's will be a bit inexperienced, and RB's will be too talented to keep out of the game. I see the breakdown (assuming Hill comes back) in any given game around:

Hill: 18-25
LF: 15-20
Magee: 7-15
Hilliard: 5-10
Williams - too early to make a call on him as he might grab a RS if all Jr's come back.

Hill: 250 carries
Magee: 150 carries
LF: 150 carries
Hillard: 60 carries + occasional use at FB position

We ran the ball 523 times this year and I expect us to run more next year.

the way i see it is Hill, Fournette, Hilliard, Magee… that's some hosses, so we shall see…

for those wanting offensive fireworks next season, i think they will be disappointed… i can see going back to a strong commitment to the run, with very little passing, considering the strength of the players at the RB position, and what looks to be a weakness at QB/WR...

TM has earned every snap he has gotten.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him stay #2 behind hill.

After being able to get a full look this year at how great he can be, figuring out how to get him touches is quite a wonderful 'problem' to have.

I really wish magee would have redshirted as a freshman. He got almost zip meaningful snaps and would be huge in 2015 if we had him.

I think itll be the same as this year. Hes the 1 back on the roster that brings something different to the table. He kinda has his own little niche in our offense. Hes our best pass blocker, can catch, and is solid at running the ball as well.

This past year Hill had 203 carries, Magee 86, Blue 71, and Hilliard 68. We ran it 523 times last year. We most likely will get out entire OL back. And with a young QB coming in and new WRs, i expect us to run the ball a lot more than that.

If LF is as good as advertised, and he is, Hill gets 230 touches, LF 185 touches, Magee 115 touches. Hilliard around 50 touches. Puts us right at 580 carries on the year, and 40+ carries per game.

Mcgee could be the odd man out. Its going to be hard to get carries as the season progresses without injuries. He is a change of pace guy which will we need in a few games. He will be in on some 3rd down packages. He's a good player and I hope if he does lose carries, that LF beat him out and it wasnt just given to him. McGee not only deserves going in as the 2nd string with a fair shot, but the guys block their asses off for him. He's a shot of adrenaline for even the fans. But he wont get many carries unless both Hill and Fournette are struggling that game. This is assuming that Fournette is good enough to beat out Mcgee clearly. If so he is going to deserve a lot of carries because McGee can make plays. Theres just not enough run plays to get everyone involved when u have the Buga Hill Gang.
