I would imagine his credibility would be rock solid. I have to believe recruits would know he can get them into the NFL.
As far as experience, in addition to 16 years of identifying fronts and making line calls at an All Pro level, he had a Bill Walsh Minority Internship in the NFL, worked with Vanderbilt and the Buffalo Bills. He also was a consultant with LSU.

Heard him speak at LSU's hall of fake induction and he is very well spoken. I was very impressed. There is no doubt in my mind he would be a great recruiter and he loves LSU

He would be a huge asset to our coaching staff!!! He is not only a great guy he is 110% an LSU tiger and will always be. My brother and I were lucky enough to have played with him and his brother John. I only played 1 year with him but my brother played 4 and have tried to keep up through the years. He has always supported LSU any chance he got!!! Anyone who doesn't believe he will be in the NFL Hall Of Fame is an idiot and doesn't need to post here anymore. He obviously was a great student of the game to have played that long. I believe he will have no problem teaching his knowledge to other LSU players. He has spoken to all types of groups from kids in hospitals, youth groups, to players just coming into the league about what to expect, to players about managing money, etc. He was also a huge motivator!!! One meeting with him and I promise you doubters would not question him on any level. A True Tiger!!! Just my 2 cents Geaux Tigers!!!

cam is making this hire, not les. cam will almost certainly hire one of his guys. cam wants a good coach first. mawae has never been a coach. don't think he gets the job.

Ensminger gets an administrative job and he gets hired. Would be fantastic hire regardless if he has no coaching experience. Just tons of playing experience. Yes, kids do know his name if they're from la. The rest can look him up.
