i admit but i've never heard one of their complaints be about shitty roads.

Except for the incredibly fricked up and delayed work around O'neal and S. Harrell's Ferry and Jones Creek. That BR is at fault for. (utility delays etc.)

I'm pretty sure a lot of the bitching with regards to "infrastructure" focused on schools as well as Kippy's vanity projects such as that new plaza downtown on North Blvd and so forth.

"Project Greenlight" is a drop in the bucket compared to what gets poured into shite no one uses downtown or a two-year renovation project of BRHS to turn it into a college-quality campus.

Right. The only thing I think they are talking about as far as being neglected, is all the millions they pay in taxes that go ONLY to BR.
Like the fire and police protection for instance.
Right?

That would be a huge thing, given how much BRFD and BRPD take from the general fund that St. George kicks into despite receiving no service from either.

The attempt to replace St. George Fire District board members with BRFD loyalists gives me the redass. Unless the BRFD is going to start giving coverage to these areas and make the St. George Fire District unnecessary, these individuals should be NOWHERE NEAR the St. George board.

I'd disagree that it's a vanity project. It has greatly affected downtown and it's overall revitalization.

I'd have to pull out the annexation map, but I'd guess "yes".

The Sherwood area is roughly the eastern boundary of annexed BR.

So how much more construction spending has been used on downtown improvements compared to the Green Light Plan?

Screwing up traffic and putting a goddamn Jumbotron out by the Old State Capitol is not a huge revitalization of the area IMHO.

I've rarely been out in that area when people are really using all this new stuff that has been put there.

For O'Neal, it's that same contractor that is known to be slow with its work.

No, there is a bidding process and the lowest bidder wins the job.

I live in the St. George area and whole-heartedly agree and support all the improvements that have been made to downtown. I know a lot of people in the area who feel the same way. The recent big wins like IBM are not possible without it.
