Looking for some new uninsulated rubber boots I can wear around the farm and do some hunting in. I've got wide feet and big ankles so I don't want anything that fits tight around the ankle. Surely there's gotta be another fatty on this board who can help me out

Lacrosse burly is a good all around boot.
Mucks are nice, and light, but they stick to my feet and are a pain to get off.

You talking about just regular ol' cheap black rubber boots?
I have a wide foot. Found some good ones at Academy.

there is a reason so many people recommend Lacrosse boots
the "ankle grip" ones fit snugly around my ankles. the burlys should work well for your muffin top feet

I have Lacrosse knee and hip boots. Are the Burlys looser fitting?

Xtratufs.
It's about all folks wear around here.
My friend put together a book about them. Southeast Slippers, they call them

Jimmies got right idea the white shrimper boots arent' ankle tight you can just slide them right off. and if they need camo just hit the with a green spray can a little if youre' hunting your feet are gunna be in the mud or stand so it doesnt' mean shite

The shrimpers in Bayou La Batre come in my store wearing the white ones all the time. We call 'em the Bayou Nikes

Awesome boots. Fishermen wear them, including the guys on Deadliest Catch. Guys wear them to work, then straight to the fishing hole in the evening. You can get them plain, insulated and with steel toes.
Customized for the ladies..
